Last month we launched a new ‘Movie length’ feature on our iPhone app, letting iPhone users set the desired length of their final Movies, including the ability for Magisto Premium users to create longer movies (one of our most-requested features). Today we’re happy to announce that the feature is now available on Android as well.
Starting today, Android users will notice a new option at the end of the creation process. When it comes time to give your Movie a title, you’ll also be able to set the “Movie Length.” You’ll be given the option, depending upon how much footage you’ve selected to upload, to create a ‘Short Teaser’, a movie that’s ‘Set For Sharing’ or, if you are a Premium user, a ‘Longer Movie!’ You can move the slider to determine how long your Movie will be. Note that the app will provide you with the approximate length you can expect your completed Movie to be.
With the launch of the new Movie Length feature, non-Premium free users will be able to create movies up to 1:15 (75 seconds) and Premium users, uploading ten minutes of footage or more, will be able to create movies up to 2:30 (150 seconds).
If you would like to upgrade to Premium, you can do so by pressing the ‘Upgrade now’ button on the ‘Movie Length’ page. It is $4.99/month or $17.99/year to upgrade. In addition to longer movies, Premium users also can save unlimited movies to their Camera Roll, as well as upload more/longer source footage.
We’d love to hear your thoughts! Feel free to let us know what you think about this new feature in the comments below.
